Design Pittsburgh recognizes excellence in architectural design by AIA Pittsburgh architects worldwide. Built and unbuilt projects submitted by AIA members are judged on their merit by a distinguished jury of AIA architects. The annual Design Awards provide member architects an avenue for peer recognition and honor the architects, clients, and consultants who work together to improve the built environment. With this program AIA Pittsburgh hopes to encourage and recognize distinguished architectural achievement and raise public awareness of the Architect’s role in shaping the quality of life through design excellence in the community.
